This lute from the rabàb family is a typical model of Caucasian workmanship in terms of the shape of the body, the organization of the fingerboard, etc.

The body is hollowed out of a single piece of mulberry. The resonance table is made by a beef pericardium.

The walnut neck has a fingerboard plated with different mother-of-pearl elements and fitted with 22 frets.

Eleven metal strings including seven playing strings and two double drones; each made up of a single string stretched in the middle to a hook linked to a tuning peg.
